Clean wedding rings with steam by first placing them on a spoon or other such utensil.
The easiest way to clean a wedding ring is also my favorite – partly because it’s so easy and partly because it works so well. All you have to do is steam it.
Steaming rings can be tricky, but I’ve figured out a really simple way to do it using a stove top kettle. Basically, you invert the rings into the spout of the kettle and boil water. The steam comes up through the spout and cleans your rings. All you need is a kettle and something to hold the rings in place, like a spoon or chopstick.
Exactly how you get your rings to stay will depend on the size and style of the rings and the size and style of your kettle spout. Below are photos and descriptions of how I steam my rings.
Place the utensil over the kettle spout so that the rings are inverted into the spout.
Close the kettle spout lid and the rings and utensil should stay in place – now you can boil the water and let your rings steam clean.
You might have to hack your kettle, utensil and rings a bit differently, but generally this is a very simple and effective way to clean wedding rings. Plus, it doesn’t waste water or energy because you can use the boiled water to make yourself a cup of tea to enjoy while you sit back and admire the freshly cleaned ring on your finger!
